Madison County Transportation Services


 

Some of you may not have a reliable, or any, means of transportation to make use of the services that Ethan Health provides. In Madison County, you have the option of using public bus transit for a very small fare.

Berea

Service runs Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Excludes National Holidays. Bus route runs on a regular one-hour loop. Bus fare is $1.00. An all-day bus pass is also $1.00 a day. Save 30% when you purchase 10 passes (10 for $7.00). Riders can add a stop by calling 48-hours in advance (stop must be within 3/4 mile of the existing route). The deviated-fixed route will deviate for the general public with and without disabilities.

Groceries/bags are okay. Driver does not carry any passenger items. Wheelchair assisted door-to-door service is available with 48-hour notice.

Tickets can be bought on the bus, at the Berea Senior Citizens Center and City Hall.

The bus makes stops outside of the old Horizon Healthcare building in Richmond, right behind Ethan Health.

Richmond

Service runs Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Excludes National Holidays. BUS A is on a 90-minute loop from 8 am – 5 pm. BUS B is on a 60-minute loop from 8 am – 11 am and 1:30 pm to4:30 pm. Riders are able to get on or off at any stop. For $7, riders can purchase 10 bus passes – making each ride only 70 cents. Tickets can be bought on the bus, at the Foothills office, at the Richmond Senior Citizens Center and City Hall.

Three groceries/bags are okay. Driver does not carry any passenger items.

Wheelchair assisted door-to-door service is available for no additional cost with 48-hour notice.

The Richmond Transit Service is a public deviated-fixed transportation route, which means that riders can request a stop by calling 24 hours in advance and that the requested stop must be within ¾ mile of the existing route.
