Administrative Assistant


Job Description

Provides general administrative and clerical support including preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. Responsible for the operation and administration of the clinic.


Duties

  • Check-in/out patients daily/confirm appointments
  • Scan Insurance cards and Photo ID
  • Update demographic information and insurance profiles
  • Obtain medical records
  • Collect all patient co-pays/Make Daily Deposits
  • Review paperwork and witness consents
  • Scan charts
  • Record all RX in DEA log
  • Schedule all initial visits as well as follow-up appointments
  • Follow-up with non-compliance
  • Record all discharged patients/send out discharge letters
  • Pay medical office bills/Order supplies
  • Provide educational material for patients
  • Develop and implement office procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver negative messages, both written and oral, to difficult and disruptive patients in a professional and non-judgmental manner
  • Must have ability to work in a high pace and stressful environment with long working hours required, handle multiple tasks, and complete task in a timely fashion
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of insurance and prior experience working in addiction/recovery and behavioral health
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
